BROOKLYN & MANHATTAN BRIDGE

I am beyond blessed to get a long Columbus Day weekend because I am in need of a gateway. I left on Friday which perfectly fell on my brother’s birthday and flew to NYC to see him and my mom. It was a short, but sweet, break I thoroughly enjoyed. Before my trip, my mom would send me pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge and I, 800 miles away, would be dreaming about the pictures I can take there. I envisioned a black and white picture of the bridges cause suspension cables gives off a really nice “texture”. So we attempted to live out my vision by first taking the subway and got off at the Brooklyn Bridge stop. We then walked over to Brooklyn which was pretty hard as we were always walking on the wrong side just because we wanted to take pictures, sorry guys. In Brooklyn, we made a u-turn and walked back to Manhattan through the Manhattan Bridge (obviously) and ended up in Chinatown, just in time for some snack!

I am a bit proud of the pictures I took because it took more than just a 70D Canon camera to capture these bridges. Simply said, I had to conquer my fears. I had to rely on my mom hugging me as I stood on a bench at Brooklyn bridge because I apparently have acrophobia. Not to mention that she also had to hold my hand as the trains pass by me on the Manhattan Bridge. So, I hope you all enjoy seeing these pictures as much as I did taking them!

PS. I ended up not making any of the pictures black and white because they were too pretty!
