SAN FRANCISCO

After what felt like an extremely long first months of 2017, I finally took days off from work to go on vacation. Earlier this year, I sent an article from Wall Street Journal about letting your children plan the family vacation to my parents as a proposal to plan our maiden annual family trip. My parents succumbed to my request and I immediately booked tickets for us to San Francisco. The trip crossed off an item I did not know existed in my bucket list, which was to eat In-n-Out burger. I can finally offer my two-cents on the In-n-Out vs. Shake Shack debate. Eat In-n-Out when you’re on a budget and have Shake Shack when you’re not. We were in San Francisco for five days four nights and… well technically that is not completely true. We were in Ahwahnee for three days two nights and in San Francisco for the rest of the time we were on the opposite coast. It was definitely a short time but I think we accomplished almost all of the things I wanted to do. The only thing I did not do was, have taco at the Mission District. I substituted that with a trip to Chelsea Market back in New York to have some tacos at Los Tacos.  I’m going to list the places I went to in San Francisco and please let me know in the comments where I should go the next time I travel across the country.

  • Ghiradelli Square
  • Fisherman’s Wharf
  • Union Square

Day 2:

  • Lombard Street
  • Palace of Fine Arts
  • Yoda Fountain by Lucasfilm
